There I am, unafraid
On mountains of the plans we made
We had it all figured out
I remember those days

Laughter on the radio
We ran the fields without our clothes
And nobody knows me
Nobody loves me as well

And the earth stood still without you

How’s it going in Arizona
Did the heat keep me off of your mind
There’s no water in California
But I think of you all the time
Going back before we saw twenty
And the fire was arm’s length from me
When we sang through Pacific Coast
Highway
To this day is the best melody

Pictures on apartment walls
And I lost myself in hollow halls
Sat all alone
I should’ve just called

Innocence, what a thought
On the list of all the things I’m not
But you loved me at worst
Timeless highs I forgot

And the earth stood still without you

How’s it going in Arizona
Did the heat keep me off of your mind
There’s no water in California
But I think of you all the time
Going back before we saw twenty
And the fire was arm’s length from me
When we sang to the stars off the
driveway
To this day is the best melody

Each hometown road, I feel your ghost
Replay our favorite song
Regrets consume the empty room
You knew me all along
So I’ll play that track from the years
back
And wish that now was then
Thank the stars you missed me
That you’re here again
How’s it going in Arizona
Send you peace from the North
everyday

There’s no staying in California
Not ’till you’re back anyway
Every drive before we saw twenty
And the fire was arm’s length from me
When we sang off of Mulholland
Highway
To this day is the best melody
