Sun child
Moon child
You’ll have to grow up soon, child

Wild flower
Flowering wilds
I hope I don’t grow for a while

Reap what you’ve sown
To be so young and so old
It’s an absence and an overflow

Fall from my throne
To spread words of ghosts
I’m not ready to go home

Ocean dip
Lovers tryst
Hatred as your love language

Starlight languishes
Dead stars and anguish
Fighting for life is a rite of passage

Cook me up
Spit me out
Love the taste I left in this place’s mouth

Citrus drought
Nails in skin and out
Bloodless massacres of doubt

My ribs are teeth
Bite the heart that feeds
My life here was once a story

Time is ticking
Trickling and trifling
I’ll lose myself long before you’ll find me.
